Webring FAQ

An FYI for you. There is a Knittyheads FAQ thread on the Knittyboard. It is located here -

Knittyheads Webring FAQs

lchavron - I've replied twice to your email and AOL keeps sending it back. Quick answer: you need to paste the blogring code into your blogger template, not an individual post. Copy and paste in the ring code that is in the email from Ringsurf. Change the url for the button image to the url where you have uploaded the image. Change the ***SITE ID*** parts of the code to your actual site ID # which is also in the Ringsurf email.

Other: please note: If it has been more than two months since your last blog post you have been deleted from the ring. If it has been more than one month but less than 2 you have been moved into the queue. You will be moved back to the active members ring next time I check the queue if you have posted. You need to post once a month. Simple as that. Dead blogs are no fun and I've gotten numerous complaints about said dead/abondoned blogs. Thanks for your cooperation.

Clean Up on Aisle 9!

Knittyheads, specifically those of you in the queue waiting to be added to the active members list.

I've emailed out the ring code to a few of you. Please check that your member id number is in your code correctly. A few of you in the queue have the code and button on your blog but oops! Wrong number!

Others of you put your url in incorrectly when adding your blog to the queue via the sign-up page. A url with "http://http://www.yourbloghere.com" will not work because of that extra http:// in there, also "http://blahknits" is not a complete url. A few of these I have been able to fix manually, some have been deleted from the queue because I'm not a mind reader (as much as I'd like my Kiddo to believe hehe). Some have been emailed the ring code once again.

A few of you are in the queue, you have the ring button posted but no code. I had ringsurf re-send the correct code. Please update your templates.

Finally, if you have moved and have not updated your ringsurf member info you will come up as inactive/in the waiting to be approved queue. If I can't find you i.e. the url you signed up with is coming up 404 (and Ringsurf can't find you) I can't fix it and I delete you.

If you would like to sign up again please do so. PLEASE make sure you enter your information correctly in the sign up page.

If you do not wish to be part of the ring, can not for the life of you figure out what you're doing wrong, have any other questions, leave a comment or email me.

That's all I can think of at the moment, now back to the needles.
